Who is responsible

Stitch Industries Ltd is responsible for the personal data processed to operate Dozy. Stitch Industries Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 17149970. Its registered office is 421 Warsash Road, Fareham, England, PO14 4JU. Contact us at help@dozy.rest. Dozy is intended for adult parents and caregivers, who choose what information to enter about a child in their care.

What stays on your iPhone

You can use Dozy without an account. Your baby's name, birth date or due date, preferred sleep times, and the sleep, waking, feeding, diaper, ritual and note entries you create are stored on your device. Appearance preferences and onboarding answers also stay on your device. Your iPhone backup settings may separately include app data in an Apple backup.

When you choose an account

Sign in with Apple creates a Dozy account using an Apple account identifier and the email address Apple supplies, including a private relay address if you choose one. Dozy does not receive your Apple password. Signing in alone does not upload your existing family logs: you choose to save your family to your account.

Saving a family uploads its baby profile and log entries, including notes, to our Supabase database in Frankfurt, Germany. We also store your caregiver display name, family membership, sync revisions and account identifier. Before saving, restoring or joining a cloud family, Dozy asks you to explicitly consent to the processing of family information, including health and pregnancy information, for backup, restore and sharing. The choice is optional and is recorded with the connection on your phone. This lets you restore your family and share it with caregivers you invite. Dozy continues to keep an offline copy on each connected phone. Earlier iCloud-connected families may remain in Apple's iCloud separately. Disconnecting stops sync; it does not delete that cloud copy.

Caregiver sharing

Anyone who joins through your invitation can read and edit the family's profile and logs, including notes. Invitations work once and expire after seven days. A family owner can revoke an unused invitation or remove a caregiver. Removal stops further cloud access; it cannot erase copies or exports already held on someone else's device.

Widgets and reminders

Widgets use a small copy of your baby's display name, last known sleep state and next-sleep estimate stored in Dozy's shared on-device container. They do not receive your private notes. Optional nap reminders are scheduled locally through iOS, after you grant notification permission. Reminder text does not include your baby's name.

Why data is used

We use account and family information to provide the sync and sharing features you request. You control whether to upload your family's data. Optional cloud processing of child and health information is based on your explicit consent as a parent or an authorised caregiver. You can withdraw in Account & family and continue tracking locally. Account identifiers and email are used to provide the account service you request; limited service and security logs, including IP addresses and IP-derived city/country information, support our legitimate interest in operating and protecting Dozy. The app does not request location permission or collect GPS coordinates. We do not sell family data, use it for targeted advertising, or send it to an AI service to generate a sleep plan. Sleep estimates are calculated on your device.

This website and cookies

This website does not use analytics scripts, advertising trackers, cookies or browser storage set by Dozy. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes request information such as your IP address, requested page, browser information and access time to serve and protect the website. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy notice.

Service providers

Apple provides Apple sign-in, optional legacy iCloud storage and the iPhone's system services. Supabase hosts our account and family database and backend functions. Vercel hosts this website and may process ordinary web request information such as an IP address. Apple processes in-app subscription payments. Superwall provides paywall delivery, purchase and subscription state, and paywall analytics. It processes an app user identifier or anonymous alias, device/app information, IP-derived country and purchase/paywall interaction records. When you choose to sign in, we associate your Dozy account identifier with subscription access. We do not send your baby’s name, sleep logs, notes or questionnaire answers to Superwall. Dozy does not receive your payment-card details. See Superwall’s privacy notice for its processing details.

Deleting, exporting and keeping data

You can export family logs from Dozy's settings. Connected logs remain in your account while you use the service, until you delete them or delete the family. Signing out clears the connected family and its local backups from that phone after syncing; it does not delete the cloud family. Deleting an account removes its account data and any family owned only by that account. If other caregivers belong to a family you own, transfer ownership first; that shared family remains available to its members.

Account deletion does not erase exports, other caregivers' existing device copies, an independent legacy iCloud family or device backups controlled by Apple. To withdraw cloud consent, open Account & family. An owner can remove the cloud family for every caregiver; a caregiver can leave the family. Your local logs are kept. If the network request fails, uploads stop and you can retry the removal when connected. The shared cloud family remains with its owner when a caregiver leaves.

Service-provider backups and security logs may be retained separately from your active account. Dozy uses Supabase Pro daily database backups, with a seven-day restoration window. Deleted records can remain in those rolling backups until they expire. Project API and database logs normally have a seven-day access window; providers may keep separate security records under their own policies. Contact help@dozy.rest for information about retention and deletion of these records.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct, erase or receive a copy of personal data, and where applicable restrict or object to processing or withdraw consent. These rights can depend on the circumstances. You can raise a concern with us, or complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local data protection authority.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page when our data practices change and show the new date above. Material changes to the app’s handling of family information will also be explained in the app before the new processing begins.
